When we first brought word that rockers Bobby Drake (The Hold Steady, w/o.), Frank Bevan (w/o.), Rob Pope (Spoon), Eric Odness (The Wanted, Primitive Weapons) were teaming up to open a Greenpoint bar that nodded to the neighborhood joints of Minneapolis, there were plenty of demands from B+B readers. One asked “Must there be tvs?”; another wrote, “I hope they show hockey games.” Another asked, “Can you please import all of the Midwestern guys into the bar as well?”

Folks, you can now take it up directly with the owners, because Lake Street opens tonight at 7pm, and she’ll remain open from 4pm to 4am on weekdays and 2pm to 4am on weekends. We’re told happy hour is from 4pm to 8pm and a cocktail list is in the works.

To see what’s on tap, check out the slideshow above. And get psyched by listening to the finest song ever penned by a white rapper about the Minneapple, below.

Lake Street, 706 Manhattan Ave., nr. Norman Ave., Greenpoint
